For Those in Need
Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you. For the lonely, the hungry, the sick, and all who cry out for help — the Lord hears the cry of the poor.
Prayer of the Poor in Spirit
O Lord, I am poor and needy; make haste to help me. Thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay. In Thee, O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame. In Thy righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline Thy ear to me and save me.
Be to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me, for Thou art my rock and my fortress. For Thou, O Lord, art my hope, my trust from my youth. Upon Thee I have leaned from my birth; Thou art He Who took me from my mother's womb. My praise is continually of Thee. Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent. Amen.
Prayer for Those Who Are Lonely
O Lord Jesus Christ, Who didst promise to be with us always, even unto the end of the age: Look with compassion upon those who are lonely and feel forgotten. Surround them with Thy presence, warm their hearts with Thy love, and send them companions who will share their burdens and joys. Let them know that they are never alone, for Thou art ever at their side, and Thy Most Pure Mother and all the saints intercede for them without ceasing. Amen.
Prayer for Daily Needs
O Heavenly Father, Who providest for the birds of the air and clothest the lilies of the field: I cast all my cares upon Thee, knowing that Thou carest for me. Provide for my needs according to Thy riches in glory, and teach me to seek first Thy Kingdom and Thy righteousness. Grant me this day my daily bread, and help me to trust in Thy providence, for Thou art a good God and lovest mankind, and to Thee we ascribe glory: to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
